Read an excerpt from the story:
Chuck shook his head and said,"Sometimes I wonder how she even was hired as our secretary. She can't even put her paperwork in the right file." As he continued to grumble to himself, Sarah slipped out the door, wanting to see how the ponies were doing. As she stepped into the hall, there stood Miss Lewis blocking the way. Out of her pocket she pulled a gag. Before Sarah could run she was bound and gagged.

The Pony Detectives tackle their first mystery when someone begins stealing ponies especially their own!

Read an excerpt from the story:
"Here," said Sarah, handing the money to Nichole.  "No time to explain.  Just distract the people inside.  The rest of you follow me to the barn."

Sarah and the others crept up to the barn.  As Sarah opened the barn door, she couldn't believe what she saw.  It was Blaze and Rose!  Hanna and Sarah ran to the ponies, each of them giving long embraces.  The other helped them lead the ponies out of the barn.  Meanwhile, Nichole led the running parade of mad hornets.

"Give me that money or I'll call the police!" Catherine yelled.

Nichole just kept running along, waving the money in the air.  When they weren't looking, she crept out the back door.  Then she stuffed the money in her pocket.

"Sarah!" Nichole's face lit up.  "You found them." Then she backed into someone.

"Well," came a voice from behind, "what have we here?  Six little snoops and two dumb animals."
