How and when did you first learn that you had NF? At the age of 7 St Christopher's Hospital for Children, (way back then I was their only patient with NF)

Does anyone else in your family have NF? Only my great-grandmother back in the 1800's from what was described from other family members. At this time no other family members have NF

How has NF most impacted your life? No longer able to work as a nurse.Was able to work 9/68 to 9/97.Had to stop because of severe pain and loosing fine motor function in my right hand.

What's the best thing that has happened to you because of your NF? Going on the BB and meeting many wonderful people.

Has your NF stopped you from doing something you wanted to do in life? Had to stop working as a nurse.

How are you a better person because of having NF? Living with chronic pain from NF you have a better understanding of others living with pain.

Anything else you want to tell us (hobbies, etc.)? Enjoy emailing. 4/24/06 will be married 35 years to a wonder man (Bob) who loves me no matter how I look.
