We believe our slogan "Pointing You in the Right Direction" describes our philosophy of helping and directing people. Our aim is to provide a well rounded, family oriented web site that informs and entertains our audience while hopefully supplying an answer to a question or simply introduces Schnee Way to you on your way around the Internet.
The main emphasis belongs to genealogy and cemetery information collected starting in 1980 but grew rapidly around 1989. Cemetery records primarily correspond to family members found via cemetery searches or documents pinpointing their burial plot. Genealogical biographies provide a much more enlightening background about an ancestor than just dates and places. Schnee Way shares sources where data was found in a biography.
My ancestors, 5th great uncle and his son, Joseph and William Schnee wove woolen blankets in the 1830s and 1840s that have survived to this day. Their mere value is priceless to me since I have collected four Schnee coverlets but most people do not understand what a coverlet is. These pieces can be very beautiful and artistically pleasing to view. It is my hope to bring some background to people interested in this textile antique.
NF by far touches my life the most. It was thrust into my daily life beginning in 1998 with my son's birth. As time has passed many people have formed life altering bonds through the internet community, interactive boards, and pro-active groups. The NF Community, as we referred to the worldwide group of people with NF, has been quite supportive in the evolution of this web site. We have been visited by people in every time zone on earth. This is quite humbling considering that Schnee Way has never actively been advertised on search engines or other web services.
Since Schnee Way's inception, it has grown in scope and anticipation of a bigger audience. We have seen more participation in our NF community over such items as Meet the Faces of NF and NF Spotlight to name a few. This web site is looking for more expansion in the NF portion while unveiling the genealogy and coverlet pages to compliment the already existing pages that have been visited regularly.
Schnee Way wants to reach a global audience with our informative, fun, family-oriented style of presenting data. It is our desire to share with as many people that can benefit from seeing or reading about something that affects or touches their daily lives. Please spread word concerning our site.
